Jon and I drove down to New River to see if the Columbia lilies were in bloom. Then we continued south to Cape Blanco. The rhododendron's in the back yard. The rest were photographed in the habitat.

    Hooray for the Lupine!
    Haven't seen bicolored ones before.

Is it the Alaskan Lupine (Lupinus nootkatensis) maybe? There are loads of these in Iceland, where they were introduced to reduce erosion, but now they're spreading more than expected...
Careful when playing with the hogweed! Don't want to get burned.

I like photos of wild flowers. That blue and white one is nice.

I love wildflowers. They are something I definitely miss now that I don't live in a temperate zone. Not many wildflowers here.

    Beautiful pictures, Dale!

Beautiful! I haven't seen those lilies in years. I hope there are still some left next month; we're flying out to Oregon with my in-laws and will drive down to Crater Lake and then northern California to see the redwoods before driving back along the coast.
