Which type of potting mix do you recommend?

    howdy all!

    I've got these two orchid types( please see uploaded photo) , and I need a recommendation on which type of potting mix would work best for them! Thanks!

    These are both intergeneric Oncidiinae hybrids and both should do well in a medium size bark or bark mix. I had the Bllra. years ago and it is a beautiful flower.

    Bark media is definitely a good option. I have been quite please with my results from Orchiata brand as the plants love it and it lasts much longer than most brands.

    There is no "best medium" for any plant. In my experience, the choice of potting medium has less to do with the particular plant than it does your growing conditions and watering habits.

    I find that such "oncidium intergenerics" like a very airy medium that stays constantly moist. There are many ways to "skin that cat."
