Plants are decent quality, prices can be/are ridiculously high, every once in a while it is the only commercial domestic source for a specific plant, I would only buy a plant from it if I couldn't find another domestic source and had to have the plant.

Isn't that Orchids Limited in MN? Their prices are dear so this must be a special orchid. Whatcha gonna buy, Ann?
Ya know, you could ask Joanne to run there and get what you want. I bet her shipping would be cheaper then theirs. Shipping is dear too.

Yeah, I just conversed with her after she had offered to go pick me out a good one. I got the feeling they would be the ones shipping (2nd day Fed Ex) and since they are shipping from MN to FL that might me a good idea. There is a green Lycaste (I forget the name) for $50 which is calling my name. Go look -- you can't miss it. I figured after the week I have just had I deserve a $50 orchid, right? I'm going to take her up on picking out a good plant which they can ship and try to talk her into letting me finance an orchid for her for her work.

You are right, Jon. I would look high and low for another source! Thanks.

OK. A $50 orchid. $25 for shipping. That's tough. Maybe an airline ticket would be cheaper? Juuuuuuuuust kidding. But I REALLY like that Lycaste!!!!!!!!!!!!1

For a lot less than $50 I could buy a honeydew melon and sniff it! But you know me and green flowers and just look at that white fringy lip. Sheesh. And I really deserve it. And, and, and..............

Have her get you one of those yellow phrag species, too. They're only asking 100 pelts.

You gotta quit looking at that place, MJ. It's dangerous. I can't believe some of the prices -- like $1,200 for a species cattleya? Wow! Some are reasonable, but then there are those others! I'll pass on the phrag. Thanks anyway.

No, MJ. It seems they didn't have enough plants. Some deal about having to have 7 on hand all the time if you have CITES certification (or whatever they call it) and selling one would put them below the 7. Jo said she found a beautiful plant, new growth, buds, but couldn't buy it. They are getting more and will call her when they come in. I think she is well-known there so I expect something to take place soon. Bummed me out, I tell ya! I DESERVED that frickin' plant, ya know? Anyway, I went to EFG's site and ordered a Phaiocalanthe Kryptonite which I've been wanting a long time, ever since I saw one at a show down south. They are red and white and bloom around Christmas so that should be fun.

Those bastards! How dare they? Ooh, that makes me want to just kick some ass, ya know?

I know the Kryptonite you speak of, HD or Lowe's had a slew of them a while back. I almost bought one but thought ehhh.

You go kick ass, girl. MN isn't THAT far away! It did seem strange that they would have them on their website if they couldn't sell them, though, but I guess keeping a website up-to-date could be a full-time job for someone. So you're just not into phaius type plants? Hm. I wish our HD or Lowes would get them. Lowes does a lot better here than HD does. HD is now filled with really ugly hybrid dens -- nothing that grabs me as I walk by.

Now don't go kickin any OL ass. They had to put down one of the llamas and they are pretty bummed out right now. The two llamas have always been a fixture there.
