I have a new shade house in South Florida. Can I carefully spray Roundup under the benches and around the outside of the shade house to control weeds? Should I be worried about overspray affecting the plants?

Turn off any fans, and wait for a calm day. Use a coarse spray to minimize the airborne droplets.

I have done so in my greenhouse (damned ferns!) with an Ortho hose-end sprayer, and had no issues.

Thanks, Ray. I didn't see any reason not to do it if I was careful.

Pay attention to the maximum temperature in the application instructions. At too high temperatures the evaporation or off-gassing can and will kill plants above your targets.

After I made my comment above I read about Glyphosate (active ingredient of Roundup) and it is not volatile. So, if you are truly using Roundup my comment is moot.
