I've just bloomed Bulbophyllum wallichii and am hoping to find pollen for an outcross. I would be happy to swap pollen if you are interested.

After doing a search on Bulbophyllum wallichii I found Kelly's post. I guess I need to take some good images and see what I have.

I was convinced that mine is B. refractum. If you determine that is what yours is I have 3 lonely blooms left on the last spike on mine. I would be happy to sacrifice those to the cause if it is a match. (edit: just checked and they are goners)
What was your plant source? Mine came from Andy's as B. refractum.

I'm not good at ID's so don't know the real thing when I see it, but I am interested in anything in this group. I've bloomed one that turned out to be B kanburiense. I wasn't disappointed, it just added to my interest.

For me this whole section is a pig to grow the farm i have them at is 248 meters above sea level and it is on the border of 3 national parks we have a very good climate here and can grow and flower a lot of plants that others in Thailand can't but still this plant makes me have problems it can not live in out general population of orchids as we give no rest period in out farm we have found that here most plants just don't need i and will grow all year round so we made a separate section for this stubborn little thing and his friends we grow them mounted with so media on teak slats but we don't really like to grow like his as most countries don't allow the import of wood with out rather heavy gassing but to be honest this is the best way to grow them we feed them with a balanced imported fertilizer 21-21-21 two times a month here winter temps are from 20-25 in he day and can go down to 8-12 at night in the summer we are high at around 38-35 day and 20-25 at night we water daily in he mornings at around 5am we have tried growing them on plastic mounts but they just dry up and die so we tried he same with a little moss and they went rotten, we have also had some success growing them in 3 1/2 " pots with he bottom 1/2 filled with coconut husk and the top 1/2 filled up with charcoal. we plan to but more land and start a new farm 800 meters above sea level these will be one of he first plants o go up there I am sure hey will do better at the higher altitude.

I can see why they would be hard to grow in your current conditions.

ZWUM for them going dormant a lot of orchids do as you know but they don't seems to here things like Ctsm grow all year here and there really is a very big list of other plants not only limited to orchids hat can and do grow all year.
