Vanilla aphylla

    Saturday was judging day, didn't even look at the orchids. Then on sunday, went outside and found this flower, *sigh*. :bang:

    1) Vanilla aphylla from southeast asia, flower is about 2.5-3 inches, forgot to measure. There were two flowers on the stem, the other was already faded.
    2) I really like the V aphylla lip, it is really fuzzy!
    3) A Vanilla claviculata flower that was already going out when I found it sunday.

    Oooooooo... This is a genus that nobody ever seems to bloom. Very nice, Jim. Thanks for sharing it.
