    A cool growing Vanda?
    WOW!
    How big is the plant? Leaf span, or pot size?

    The longest leaf is 9", it is growing in a 3" net pot in medium bark. Maybe in a warmer greenhouse it would be bigger. The spike is in proportion to the plant. Vanda coerulea will grow cool. Though I've never grown Vanda cristata, a friend got an FCC on one that he grew with Odonts. I posted a Vanda javieri a while back that grows well at 50F (occasionaly 40). And I've seen Vanda (now Vandopsis) undulata growing at high elevations. There are quite a few Vanda species that sould do well for you. Santa Barbara is only a few months away.
