This is a first bloom seedling of Vanda coerulea that I got from Hoosier Orchids a couple of years ago. Flower size is a little over three inches across produced on a plant about eight inches tall.

Vanda coerulea is a cool to cold growing epiphyte from seasonally dry deciduous forests of Thailand, India, and Burma where it grows to elevations of about 6,000 feet. The petals typically twist forwards on their axis, 90 to 160 degrees. No fragrance.

Very nice, Ed. This is a very forgiving species, as it grows and blooms well even in my warm-hot conditions.
