This is one of my favourite Utrics: easy to grow, big flowers and not invasive :clap::clap:. Pity it's a bit shy to flower but I guess you can't have everything. Did you flood the pot to get the flower or did it flower of its own accord?

I didn't flood the pot. I used to grow this species with the pot standing in an inch of water, but it grows and blooms just as well with daily overhead water.

Dale- do you grow any other epiphytic species of Utricularia? My friend grows some really nice U. alpina. I've seen a few photos of a red flowering species from Venezuela that are insane.

Been thinking about taking the plunge with these but have had difficulty in finding smaller, Neotropical species.

Justin, I hate to tell you but Dale asked that he be banned from here after Jon and Forrest sold the forum to Enrique, and all the changes were made.

Sadly, I think he'd like how it is now, and losing his pictures and knowledge are disappointing.

I saw Dale's mug on this thread & my heart stopped - hoping he was back.
