Hi all... I'm from Singapore and I just bought my phalaenopsis from the nursery last week. Now the leaves are starting to break off from the crown. Three already dropped off a couple of days ago. One of the leaves cracked. And today another two of the remaining leaves have weird stains on them. What's wrong?? Is my phalaenopsis sick and dying??

The leaves that broke off from the crown are all green and not yellow.

    Please help...

I don’t have a guess as to the loss of newer leaves, but the discoloration looks like the onset of erwinia, a bacterial infection, to me. A copper-based treatment seems to be the best option, but do it quickly, as if my guess is correct, that can wipe out a plant in no time.
