Very nice! I have no idea about the ID, but I looked at the key of & Hermans' field guide. How does the lip look? Is it ciliate (hairs around the margin)? Is it always 1-leafed? If so, it could be in Sect. Pantoblepharon. Is it always 1-flowered? Is sepal around 5mm? Is the lip recurved? Then the key of Cribb & Hermans' field guide points to B. latipetalum. But I haven't found a photo or illustration of this species.

Thank you Naoki for this detailed information. At the moment, the flower is already gone for some time. I just took some quick pictures with an IPad. It is indeed 1-leafed and 1-flowered. Will try to make some more detailed pictures when it flowers again.

Hi, i'm not an orchid expert but the appearance of the plant and flower reminds me of Bulbophyllum herbula.Maybe the flower is too big and alone to be it.

    Please check with Bulbophyllum discilabium.

Goodness, there are a lot of unidentified Bulbophyllums on the forum right now! Anyways, that's an amazing plant, Stijn! Sadly, I'm not so sure on the ID. Good luck though!

    Hi Stijn
Jay Pfahl with www.orchidspecies.com. I also can attest that this is B discilabium. I would be very happy if I could use it for www.orchidspecies.com, full credit to you and a link to any website. Please let me know
