    Just by accident, I found that you don't even have to save it. Just drag it from the web page it is on and put it in the search box. Even quicker!

    Welcome to the forum CK! I browsed through your Flickr account and you have a superb set of images. I'm looking forward to seeing some more of them posted here!

    Welcome CK.

    Apparently, posting here about the used images seems to get them immediately removed. They have been taken down.

    We will relay this again on the french forums, at least on the one that has not cowed into silence because of his threats of legal action. This guy is amazing...we try to make him understand his business model and attitude is suicidal yet he goes on.

    Wow, oh wow! Well, Fishballs from OrchidBoard finally logged in and got my message to him as well. Sad really. All you have to do is ask for permission. It's really not that hard unless you're just trying to make fast money.

    Seriously though, I get it. What an outrage! I'd be furious as well.

    I see that there are no longer bootlegged images on his website. Persistence does pay off.

    When I sent an email to him in early March requesting he take down my images, he didn't do anything until I posted here. So I will reply here to his email from earlier today. He asked for availability of a list of flasks from my website. My answer, "Are you kidding?! You steal from me and anyone you want to because it is convenient. And then think I would do business with you? Never going to happen."

    Mr. Knecht,
    I see that this topic is still alive, though I haven't heard from you for more than a month now. Curiously, you didn't copy/paste my email with excuses here.

    You qualified my action as stealing/robbery and called me theft and other bad vocabulary. I don't accept that. You don't have the ability to judge anyone and call him a thief, so please don't do it.

    I copied and used some pictures that I found on google image, true... Given the many reactions to that on many forums and the fact that 2,000+ people read this post indicates that I was punished for that. Is it necessary to keep on the punishment forever ? I don't think so. I don't think my small and honorable company deserves that.

    Most of this topic can be considered as defamation, and maybe all that you want is to ruin my company because of your jealousy and that of some of your friends.

    May the owner of this forum delete this topic now ? Thank you.

    Wow you are audacious, and most certainly a thief. I hope Brent maintains the integrity of this thread so every one knows how unethical you are. You Mr. Diebolt, are a douche.

    I just checked the definition of defamation in English: the act of defaming; false or unjustified injury of the good reputation of another, as by slander or libel; calumny.

    Since the statements here are neither false nor unjustified, I don't think defamation applies here.

    "unscrupulous" => this is an invective, not a fact.

    "Frederic Diebolt has stolen" => If you really think so, then file a plaint against me and a judge will ascertain if it is robbery or not. For the time being I should be presumed innocent. This is defamation. Anyway, even if the remark wasn't slanderous, it would qualify as defamation.

    "I have contacted him to take down these images immediately but he has not done so" => never got emails from you asking to take down your images.

    "most importantly, please EU friends do not buy plants from him!"
    => this kind of invective is pure defamation. You are ruining my reputation and my company !

    "Please help make our worldwide orchid community a safer more ethical place" => You put me on trial and you are talking about ethics !?

    "He just now erased the personally identifiable information from his flick profile page where it used to have his name, now it's blank:
    => Lie.

    "AH! I see he has stolen dozens of Tillandsia pictures from Rainforest Flora Inc.http://www.rainforestflora.com/"
    => Rainforest Flora is one of my providers for Tillandsia...

    "Let this be a lesson to other would-be thieves." => All that you want is make me pay for all the other people who did that before !

    "So he did use one of yours after all! It took a while to get his email, it is:[email protected]___.fr" => Thanks for making my email public. Well done.

    Marni Turkel
    "despicable" => slanderous invective.

    "So here is another example of this fellow not responding to a request to remove illegally used material. Orchids & more www.orchideen.com requested that he take down this image (and possibly others) a month ago and it is still up" => never got such an email from Orchids & more. You are better informed on me than I, quite surprising... These methods are pretty nasty indeed.

    "When I sent an email to him in early March requesting he take down my images, he didn't do anything until I posted here" => I answered your email within 24 hours. You could have copy/paste my email here but you prefer to distort the truth !

    oisifml
    "he has been shamed on two french forums as well as comments on his business practice" => this comment suggests I have bad business practice. This is a slanderous invective (you don't like the word defamation obviously).

    MiKa
    "I will actively see to that none of my customers or friends buy a thing from him" => again, defamation.

    Tom-DE
    "I don't expect he will apologize to anyone, but threats? LOL!" => I answered everyone's email and apologized. You are too prompt on opening your mouth to say lies.
