I've grown this for many years, but have never posted it here. The first image is recent and the other two are older. The specimen is actually from a long time ago and has never looked this good again. I left it too long and then broke it up. This seems to be a bit of a variable species and some clones are way better than others. I have others that are much thinner and longer without the charm. For reference, that white stick that is holding it up is a cheap chopstick.

That is gorgeous! Does it on the original piece of treefern, and for how many years?

Alexey, I was checking to see which clones of this species I had posted before and realize that I didn't answer your question.

That blooming was in 2003 and it was growing on cork and I suspect it had been there for about 4 years. I got it from a Brazilian vendor in the late 80's so it had been remounted several times by then. Treefern stays to wet with my watering schedule so I don't often use it.

OMG. That is an absolutely amazing plant. Will I ever get one of my plants to look like that?

Mine grow, sorta, but never flower or just abort the spikes. Must stop trying to grow things I don't have the right conditions for, no matter how little space they take up. -Stephen
