Trisetella hirtzii comes from southern Ecuador and grows there, in the rain forests, at altitudes between 950 and 1500m. So far, it is found only there and is thus endemic to the area. It is named after Alexander Hirtz. I have had the plant since the middle of last year. I keep it in my temperate orchidarium.

Well, further examination revealed it to be a Trisetella klingeri. Not what I expected, but still very beautiful.
