Trip to Medellin

    On the first of June I am flying off to Medellin, Colombia, for a short (7 days in country) trip. My schedule is indicating a couple of days of possible/relative "free" time. This is my first trip to either Medellin, or Colombia, so I would like to ask for suggestions on botanical gardens, nearby nature reserves, or even orchid growers in the metro area. The Parque Nacional Las Orquideas is a fair distance away, so I doubt that time will allow me to travel that far into the hinterlands. Recommendations for any interesting site within or near the city for exploring, especially for orchids, would be welcomed.
