Trichosalpinx orbicularis

    These are older photos, but I did a quick search on here and didn't get many results for this species so I thought I would post it up anyways. This was one of the first blooms I got from it - the ones to follow were a much darker burgundy in color, but unfortunately I didn't get any photos of those. I divided my plant too much a while back and only have a small division, but it's still holding on - hopefully I can get it going again and get some better photos!

    The color of the flowers became much more intense. Very nice photos!

    I think the first photos were taken shortly after I received the plant from Andy's. The photo on Andy's website features flowers that are more similarly colored to the ones I photographed for that first set, but many of the other photos I've seen from others feature darker colored flowers. I suppose it must be a cultural influence?
