Trichopilia peruviana

    4" nonfragrant translucent flowers with crystelline lip on a medium sized plant grown in a plastic pot in a medium bark mix, lower light a bit cooler.

    You don't see this species in cultivation very often. It is not one of the more dramatic Trichopilia blooms. Do the blooms last for 2-3 weeks?

    Yea, I think it was about two weeks

    It looks like a very erect inflorescence compared to other trichopilia. Is it your lighting or the inherent nature of the species?

    I believe it's the species. Those in this section usually do this.
