One of the paler ones I have. According to Bob Dressler and Michael Kovach, the range of color in this species in the habitat goes from olive green through palest pink through magenta to deep reddish brown.

Tenman: Is Michael Kovach doing orchids again? I'm assuming he shared with you some experience he had with these in South America.

I'm sorry to hear that. I always thought he got a raw deal with the PK thing.

Trichopilia marginata and Trichopillia tortillis are very close species.
Do you know the difference in growing them ?
Thank you for you reply !
    Regards

Tortilis is more temp. tolerant and I'm growing it intermediate, not cool like the marginata. And I'm growing it a little drier, too.
