How cool do folks grow this successfully? I saw one in person this weekend at POE, but I'm not sure I can provide warm enough conditions for it. So I'm wondering just how low a temp it can tolerate and still grow well.

Edit: I don't grow it bright either.

you say you don't grow it to bright, brighter than a species Phal? how about as bright as an Angraecum? I picked one up at POE also...I grow the Trichoglottis brachiata at aprox. 3000 ft. candle, with the catts and Brassia, I grow them in spag moss and clay pot's with lots of roots growing the length of the plant. The smithii I bought is so small in compaireson how did you pot your's?:)
