I bought this in March as Trias intermedia, but it doesn't seem to match. The closest I've found is T nummularia. Any one have any ideas about the ID? The flower is about 1/2"wide and faces somewhat downward.

Hi Marni, definitely not intermedia. Not sure beyond that though.

I don't have a lot in the way of documentation that addresses the genus, Marni. Based on the photos that Jaap provided Jay, though, I'd say nummularia is correct.

Piotr, yes, Andy's Orchid's has sold it as that and perhaps others in Europe. Mine was from Michael Ooi. Take a look at http://orchidspecies.com/trinummularia.htm with the image from Vermeulen. I think that is a more definitive source. I don't knwo if they are synonyms.

Kew doesn't recognize "cambodiana". Neither does MOBOT. It's probably safe to assume that someone collected "cambodiana" and applied a name to it without really knowing. Of course, it could just be that the splitters found a slight deviation from the nummularia description and decided to name an orchid. Jay says Christensen described cambodiana in 2003, but...
