    Thanks for reminding me! YES! Your plant is definitely disciflora. The old flowers on my plant are striped, even though the fresh ones are spotted.

    Well, he has many chances to verify that but he chose not to, right? If he is the real Christenson, certainly I am not impressed with his opinion.

    Tom, I never doubted that your disciflora turned from spotted to striped, and I appreciated your help. However, your flower was significantly lighter than mine. And while I don't need a taxonomist to tell me you can't id a species based upon flower color alone, it's nice to see Jon's looking just like mine. Remember, I've never seen mine with a fresh bloom.

    But if I need a taxonomist's help, I NOW know to whom I can go for a definitive answer.
