Tolumnia leaf yellowing

    Hello,
    I have this Tolumnia that seemed to be doing very well it has two new growths and a lot of new roots but today I noticed this. How concerned should I be? Thanks in advance for the help. 20200820_164932.jpg 20200820_164916.jpg

    It looks like crown rot/bacterial or fungal infection. There was probably water left in the fan too long try to remove the yellow and sterilize it will hydrogen peroxide and maybe sprinkle some cinnamon. If should stop the rot enough for it to send out an offshoot. Also how good is the airflow around the leaves?

    Well I don't have a fan near it but I try to ventilate the area at least once a day.

    Tolumnias need good ventilation also what are your temps/rh/climate you have it growing in?

    At the moment they are about 25-28 Celcius, the humidity is about 50% and I mainly grow in windowsills.

    Tolumnias are native to the windward side of Caribbean islands where the live on tiny twigs in shrubs, so get frequent, warm rains and are blown dry almost immediately.

    In your case, the daily ventilation is of very little value. Air movement will help dry the plants quickly.
