Hurricane Dorian. It is threatening and slow to move away .the prediction is hurricane warnings. But not full force. A 20 mile wobble in the path could mean modest winds or devastating 130 winds. We wait IMG_5421.JPG IMG_5424.JPG IMG_5419.JPG
They don't like it. The all clear is Wednesday afternoon...

Yeah. I've been battening down the hatches all day. Plants will come in tomorrow.

Hopefully the eyewall will not come ashore.

Got lucky. I have a strong house. If I got what the Bahamas got, my next email might be months from now or never. A strong cat 5 for 38 or more hours accompanied with a storm surge takes down concrete houses. I'm safe. But living shuttered up is depressing. And this storm is taking a long time. No work can start until at least tomorrow morning.
Glad to be alive with minimal damage. Still, even with a good outcome it is an experience I hope not to repeat any time soon. Got to get back to growing orchids...
