Yeah, that's why we're sticking with larger type hens. A neighborhood cat has been stalking them the last couple of days with no success. He's not attacked them, just watches, but they're getting so large now they just stare at the cat, unconcerned. They still have a bit of growing to do, but are getting to be big birds with large wing spans. I'm glad we don't have Bantams as I suspect the hawk or cats would have eaten them by now. We also have a clothes line hanging in the back constantly now to break up the flight path of a hawk. It's not swooped again since we've put it up. From what I've read, they have to have a certain flying distance and clearance for their wings, and if you put obstacles in their flight path, they won't fly through the area. So far, so good.

    Hey MJ
Dem yard birds are eatin and crappin factories. No eggs yet (them sonsabitches)
Cajun is on meds to clear an upper respitory infection. Poor guy has the most pathetic (a.k.a. hilarious) crow you have ever heard. Neighbors thought I ate him because they haven't heard him in a while :)
BTW.... Those hens are getting HUGE

Those lazy sonsabitches, no eggs?? Whazzup with that?? Ole Cajun shooting blanks??
A couple years back, somebody in the neighborhood had chickens and a rooster and by the description you've given on Cajun's crow, I now suspect this rooster also had some UP issues. Sounded like he was gargling/strangling/yodeling. I would crack up every time I heard it..

Hey guess what. I've decided I'm going to get my MC license and my own bike. 54 isn't too old to learn new tricks, right? Right??

Alexis, this bike is amazing. One ride and you'll be convinced. Seriously. Anyways, the old people crowd is riding Goldwings. Those things are U-G-L-Y.

MJ, that HD 48 is hot. Ironically, I was talking about that bike this morning with a friend.
Sportsters wouldn't be my choice for a first bike. They're a little top heavy, but if you can ride that, you can ride anything.

Just teasing you, Dew! You'd be cool on a child's bike with tassels on the handlebars. Seriously.

Dew the 48 is shorter then a regular Sportster. Of course, I've not even sat on it yet..
Hell, I don't have my license yet! I love window shopping, though!

    LOL:D

I rode it from Ft Lauderdale where I bought it. 2hr ride. Does that count?
First real trip is Key West in mid September for Key West bike week. I normally take the chopper to that, but I think we'll run the big girl this year. The weekend after is the AMA Superbike Championship at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama and I REALLY want to do that trip too. Thats a lot of miles in 2 weekends. Get your license, a ride, and come to the Keys with us. YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!! PARTY!!!! I could always use another drinking buddy

Damn, Dew. That is one good looking bike. I bet that is comfortable as hell, too. So tell me, what prompted this purchase? And please tell me you didn't sell your chopper...

    Reverse?

Thank You! Very comfortable, but HEAVY. 850lbs
Yup, reverse. I used it once just to show a buddy how it works. I don't need it (I think).

Just an observation - when I'm on the chopper, I get comments or thumbs up from the blue collar crowd. My people. Almost everyday since I got the BMW someone in a Beemer, Benz, Audi, Jag, Range Rover has commented on this bike. It's funny what that silly logo does for people.
