    We did. That little bull fed us for 3 days straight. I caught it, landed it, cleaned it and cooked it. Even ate a good chunk of it raw. We're at the Quality Inn in Honiara right now.

    Outside a cave I nearly broke my legs in jumping across a gap over a pool on the cave floor 50 feet below.

    Chris, have you learned anything about ocean warming from your core samples yet?
    Must you bring all your samples back to your lab before you can make any definitive
    statements? I'm very interested in your results and any conclusions you might draw
    from your research.

    The flight from Honiara to Munda (I am on Roviana Lagoon, incredibly remote, but somehow not without wireless broadband) was the most breathtaking thing I have ever seen.

    Also, I flew from the airfield my grandfather helped capture this month in 1942.
