Stanhopea nigroviolacea 'Aztec Gold'

    I'm fairly sure this was reclassified as Stanhopea tigrina 'Nigroviolacea,' but I'm not sure what all is going on with its nomenclature right now, especially with the cultivar name.

    Another first bloom for me. It smells so unbelievably good, kind of like a very sweet vanilla. The flowers only last about 3 days or so. They also didn't open up as much as I expected.

    I grow it hot, "low" light (full sun briefly in the morning, then bright shade the rest of the day), and don't really let it dry out completely.
