Very nice big flowers and decent bit of vanilla bit of other fragrant mixtures - as always in Stanhopea creates intriguing perfume.
After 2 years without flowering – well it tried but I broke it last summer, or other strange stories happened to it before, this year was successful and I got 3 spikes: 4 + 5 + 5 = 14 flowers! all together on this good cross: Stanhopea jenishiana x nigroviolacea.

Nice primary! "Bird of Prey" is the perfect name for a stanhopea.
