Vibrant photo. Can you tell a bit about how you do it? Flask, natural light, etc.

Marni, for this photo I used a black green satin background. One overhead flood light 150 W, 5200K, Metal halide lamp, distance 1 meter, I used a second lamp (the same) held above the macro lens 20 cm from the flower.
Tripode, 105mm macro lens, manual control of exposure, automatic white balance......

Magnus, thanks. I was especially taken with the vibrance of this image. I have been using the same set up for several years and am interested in trying some other lighting. I never though of Metalhalide

Marni, I like to use natural light for my pictures but in Uppsala, Sweden, there is not much of natural light in December! Today we have the shortest day of the year with less than 6 hour of sunlight. But the sun is of no use as we have had clouds and rain for almost three weeks now! :( But today we had clear sky for the firts time in a month! :)
I do not like flashlight and I had the MH around. I experimented some and the result got pretty good ;)
