Sobralia powellii

    Another Sobralia! Flower is 5 inches tall, blooming on 15 inch canes! The flowers only last one day, but each new cane can have up to 8 flowers.

    Well, I have an identical one, that came labelled as S. sanderae, which it clearly is not. You can have that one, if you're serious!

    It looks very much like a hybrid that is in circulation. I'm not sure of the name, but it lasted 5 days. Do both of the plants you mention only last a day?

    This one sometimes goes for 2 days, but the flowers aren't very pretty the second day. I was NOT happy, when the S. sanderae bloomed out the same as this one. The S. sanderae is from a species vendor, and shouldn't be a hybrid.....
