    Love the growth habit of these. It's a pity the flowers are so transient.

    I agree that Sobralia flowers do not last very long, this plant has been in bloom for almost 2 weeks and there are 4 more buds ready to open!

    Most people will stay away from those because their growth habit:eek: Most of the species from this genus are tall and big, some are monsters....They are backyard plants in south America. Love the color of the flowers though, always bright and cheerful.

    S. callosa is an exception, small and manageable for most growers.
