So excited!!!

Our local orchid show is this weekend. Orchid Quest is a once a year event and the only local one here. It has become a mommy/daughter day with my 7 year old. This will be our 4th year going together. She is great at the show. She is respectful of the displays, careful of the sales tables, and never runs off on me. She is also very awesome about picking out 1 plant each year that is hers. She will usually find it very early and no matter how much looking we do, she does not change her mind. And anytime I point out a plant I think is pretty she is quick to tell me I can get it. Love this little lady! I will try to take lots of pics but sometimes I just get too wrapped up in the day.

 

Well as I figured, we got so involved we didn't take pix. Had a great time and as usual she fell in love with one and that was it. She got a white mini phal with a dark purple lip. I got an Aerangis rhodosticta and a pitcher plant.

 

Yup, it was Orchid Quest. However, thanks to last nights disaster I no longer have the orchids.

 

The new plant that she got this year is still in the house showing off it's blooms so that one survived. But, she had 5 or 6 out in the greenhouse that have probably died.
