Hi Everyone, I have acquired a green house frame. I wanted to know what would be the best shade cloth colour/% shade to use. I live in Durban South Africa where the climate I would say is sub tropical. Summer is hot and humid averaging in the 30's (deg C) in Summer.

I have a small variety of plants, oncidiums, cymbidiums, moths, cats, brassia, dendrobiums, Angraecums. Positioning them in different areas of the GH would allow more or less light, needs depending.

I've seen some literature on colour spectrum and that green is a no. Would love to here your input as this will be my first GH.

There have been a couple of recent conversations (as well as some older ones) that you would probably find helpful. Here is a link to some search results of the archives: https://www.orchidsforum.com/search/5008268/?q=shade+cloth&t=post&o=date.

Not all will be on point, but there will be a lot of information. You can always ask more if you didn't find the answers you need.
