I'm looking for divisions of Schomburgkia thomsoniana, schomburgkia atropurpurea or Schomburgkia crosses with other smaller orchids to bring the size down. I have a variety of plants and supplies to trade or I'm willing to pay.

I can't offer any trades or specific sources, though certainly some are available on eBay at almost any time.

It might help to keep in mind that Schomburgkia as a genus is no longer universally accepted, so you will begin to find plants and information under other names. The mostly hollow pseudobulb ant-hosting species (like thompsoniana) are now genus Myrmecophila (generally accepted), and others have been mostly moved to Laelia (mostly accepted) or left as Schomburgkia depending on whose treatment you follow.

Schomburgkia atropurpurea may never have been a validly published name though it has been commonly seen. It has been considered a variety of Schomburgkia (Myrmecophila) thomsonaina or brysiana, and commonly confused with albopurpurea, but probably not valid in its own right.

I am aware Schomburgkia is no longer a valid genera. I mainly used it as I'm interested in the flower shape and growth habit of the plants formerly of Schomburgkia, regardless of if they are now Mymecophila or Laelia. Thanks of the catch on atropurpurea. I was probably thinking of albopurpurea. I do see thomsoniana and albopurpurea available commercially frequently but most are a bit expensive so I was hoping to trade or buy from another hobby grower to save money as I'm not rolling in money.
