Schoenorchis buddleiflora

    I've grown this plant for many years and though it grows slowly for me, I love it. The flowers are long lasting and very intricate. I posted it quite a few years ago under the name Schoenorchis roseus which was how it was labeled originally. I will try once again to set seed, but this seems a particularly difficult one to pollinate. Most of the spikes are not fully open yet.

    That is a beautiful plant. You said it grows slowly but I think it has done very well in the 4 years since the 2009 post.
    Good luck with the pollination effort.
