A Peruvian species from low to moderate elevations. The flowers have a sweet, slightly "off" fragrance, but only if you get really close. I am growing this shadier than other rodriguezias but may try moving it to more light and more drying between waterings.

Very pretty. I haven't grown this genus but I have a R. secunda coming soon from Gary Meyer. Any tips?

Calvin, I say rod-ree-gay-zee-ah. Others surely have different ways.

Most of the rodriguezias seem to do well with no moisture retentive media on the mount, quite bright light and well dried between waterings. I usually hang them up on a chain between the cattleyas and water them on the same schedule. The roots hang out in the air and can make a tangle of they are close to other plants.
