    This plant is from Peru, but it is a widespread species.

    Nice species! I think I killed a couple of those over the years....

    Over the years I have developed an appreciation of this genus. Especially once I figured out that most of them need to dry quickly and stay dry between waterings. Close to cattleya light, no moss.

    Thanks for the culture info. My last one was on on stick mount. I am pretty sure I overwatered it in the winter when the condition was much cooler.

    Beautiful, Marni. I'd say you have this genus figured out.

    Tom, over watering in the winter has been the main cause of death of several of my plants, from various genera, over the years. Maybe I'll eventually learn. :confused:

    I concur with the above statement, you have this species figured out. What are the lowest temperatures you're growing them to establish them so well? I've read that it's a hot grower but are also found up to 1500m.
