Rising like a phoenix...

    A couple of months ago the central growth suddenly rotted away on this young Tridactyle tridentata... Since the remaining root was still green, I left it where it was and it got watered every day with all the other orchids. Yesterday I found a microscopic green spot! Unbelievable, but it seems to grow a leaf. What did I learn from this? Never toss a dead orchid too early :)

    Yeah I can relate to that, I have tossed plenty of them myself when I should have waited to see if they will recoup.
