Can I repot my Cattleya bowringianas now and my Laelia purpuratas this time of the year, I have the time and would like to get it done, unless it would set my plants back.
    Thanks all, happy holidays!

I would also like to add if you see active root growth yes, otherwise I would not as it can set them back a bit

What Angela and Tom say. I also prefer to repot Cattleyas when they have new growth(s) and new root growth. Otherwise, I would just leave them alone unless the medium is horribly broken down.

I believe rule of thumb is to NEVER repot a bifoliate species when not in growth. Unifoliate that rule is less important, but active vegetative or root growth is always the best time to reopt.
