Red and orange colour forms of Dendrochilums wenzelii and cootesii

    nice. It is almost Dendrochilum time here too. they are all loading up with spikes now.

    Tom, cootesii is pretty small.

    I was just cleaning up some of my Dendrochilum. I think of them as pretty compact compared to most other genera. 6"-8" height on the folliage and the spikes are lower than the tops of the leaves.
    I only have experience with a half dozen of the most common species.

    There are also quite a few species in the 2.5 to 4" height range.

    The wenzelii is not that tall either. Mine is about 8" tall and it is a very compact species.

    Nice Nelson! I have seen a yellow wenzelii as well
