Has anyone any experience using purely organic fertilizer? sue Bottoms has an interesting article about it on the St Augustine Orchid Society website. Where can you buy it? The only one I can find is for either lawns or vegetables. Is there a formula for orchids? Have you noticed any differences in the orchids you have used it on?

    Thanks

    I've never heard of it.

I took a look at their products. The granular stuff is not water soluble, so must either leach out over time or be released by microbial action, so is not particularly applicable to most orchid growing.

The liquid version (13-0-4, of which only 8% of the nitrogen is water soluble), is “corn steep liquor and soy protein hydrolysate”, and the label clearly states “Not for use in Organic Crop or Organic Food Production”.
