Primary hybrid ( limminghei x papilio). Almost miniature plant (7" is the biggest dimension of the specimen and leaf on the biggest growth just 3.5") with good size flowers. Psychopsis Holm's Little Butterfly 01.jpg

Nice! I would love to grow this. Did you import it from Germany or wherever Holm is?

I really want to cross my limminghei with calochilum.

Great hybrid! Is it easier than limminghei?

I have aquired this plant from Paramount Orchds. At that time this cross was not registered yet and my guess that Paramound received it from originator. Will ask Chuck about the source.

I did not have any problems at all. However, plant is not on classical mount. It is on plastic mesh cage with potting media (similar to my Schoenorchis fragrans on the Species page of the forum).

Hope respond to Marni above is helpful. For me classical mounting of any Psycopsis is contrproductive - too much time and efforts to keep roots properly moist.

More info on that topic: the hybrid was made few years ago and registered in 2012 by Orchedeen Holm (Germany). The company sales internationally but only business to business. I have not found this hybrid on their current product list.
My plant is from a personnal collection of the Paramount Orcids owner. Paramount never had it for public sale. Chuck also told me that he never seen it on the listings for orchid nurseries.
It is a very interesting hybrid. Bad if it will be lost due to smal distribution and not sufficient promotion at the beginning of its "career".

I think I'm going to do a Psychopsis hybrid to limminghei next season. I did an outcrossing with my
limminghei to a very different one this year.

Would be interesting to see it with stayci.
