Promenaea stapelioides in habitat

    Promenaea stapelioides photographed this past weekend in the Atlantic Rainforest of SE Brazil. This beautiful orchid was growing inside the forest in steep terrain, right next to a big waterfall - very humid. It was quite dark where it was, only receiving some morning light. It only had leaves and flowers to the light side.

    Fascinating. Octavio-most of us here in the US never get the opportunity to see photos like this unless they are published in certain books. Thanks for making them more accessible.
