    An Ecuadorian species from higher elevations. First image is with the lip in the normal position and the 2nd is after it snapped shut.

    Giles, porroglossums have a trigger mechanism so that when a light pressure is applied, such as an insect landing on the lip, the lip moves up and presses the insect against the column.
