Porroglossum dreisei is a miniature from southern Ecuador. The fairly large flower (for a Porroglossum) is 2 cm and oddly shaped. This is due to the sepals turning at a strange angle. Of course this species also has a movable lip, like all Porroglossums. In the picture it is in the closed position. Occurs at about 1700m and hangs in my temperate orchidarium.

It reminds me of a court jestor! A very happy flower.
