This is a Ponthieva species that Walter Teague collected in Bolivia near Cocopata. It was in the same place he found Masdevallia cocopatae. He said they were found together in a spot that was in a rain shadow in an other wise wet area. I have been growing it intermediate conditions in a terrestrial mix and also in moss, so not really dry. I have recently put a basket of it in the cold greenhouse to see how it does in colder temperatures. For reference, the specimen is growing in a 5" diameter planter.
