Ponthieva diptera (?)

    I am not 100% sure on the name, so if you have other ideas, let me know. The flowers are about 1" wide and the foliage is worth the space whether it flowers or not.

    Wow. The contrast of colors in the second picture is just stunning.

    Terrestrial right? Wish i had the space and patience for these kind of plants.

    Most ponthievas are terrestrials, but some do grow as epiphytes. I grow them all potted.

    These images are supurb especially the close up image of the single flower.
    If you have a corm/tuber for sale I would be interested in purchasing one.

    as well very alike Ponthieva garayana maybe some intermediate form? very nice one!!!

    The foliage is very different and both species are valid. If you look at the lip on the two of them, it really is quite different.
