I'm tempted to order a couple of these, but from what I've been reading I'm not sure if our humid summers would be a problem. I see references to it being an easy plant to grow, but the issues of heat and humidity and too much water keep popping up too. Maybe it's easy in places like CA, but the rest of us might be wasting our $$?

    I don't know. Worth a shot?

I have grown it here in So Cal, and found it easy to grow from the small tuber. After summer dormancy is another problem though. They rot very easily and at the same time dessicate if kept too dry! all my plants perished after the 2nd year.
I bought mine from Japan and they quite lovely. It's worth a challenge!

    Pete,

Thanks. Isn't it always the dormant period that turns out to be the hard part? I'll have to think about this. Asuka Orchids in CA has these for $25, but they only list a pink and a white.
