This medium sized Polystachya hails from Madagascar. The 1/4 inch non-resupinate flowers are produced somewhat sequentially over a month period. I love the red/purple coloring of the leaves. I grow this in a very shady spot, so not sure if the red color is due to cool temperatures, or just an artifact of this particular clone. Please excuse the aphids in the closeup, they have now moved on to greener pastures.

Neat little flowers. I am totally ignorant of this genus so I appreciate the post.
