This was collected by my friend Walter Teague in Kenya a long time ago. I've grown it since 1974. It is my first Polystachya and the one with the best fragrance. I have tried other P camplyoglossa but the fragrance is not the same. The plant is about 6" tall.

We maintain a number of them, and also as you and others mention, the fragrance varies a lot, just like the time of flowering, some species are very synchronized, this one not at all, also not after a few years. The specimens which here flower around January have that delightful fragrance, the others flowering in different times of the year have hardly any. Did you ever had yours flowering at the same time and compared the fragrances?
