I can't take credit for this blooming, I got the plant in spike. I think the flowers are quite amazing. Now, I'm looking for experience that anyone has in growing it. Andy's tag indicates "warm", and that is how it was grown. The plant isn't in great shape, so maybe that's not the ideal. Jay Pfahl's website indicates that it occurs over a wide range of elevations, from 800 to 2300 meters, which would indicate to me that it can grow much cooler. There were notes in a thread on this forum from several years ago stating that it had been observed around 1600 meters. So... since I am a "What can I get away with?" grower, I'm looking for any insights that I can glean, especially information that has been gained since that last post.
